You fill find plenty of local produce here as this is a market to support local growers and is aimed at those who are looking to purchase produce direct from farm to plate. Every Friday from December 7th onwards during summer.
You will find local fruit and vegetables direct from the growers as well as artisan bread, free range eggs, honey and perhaps even some cheese and meat. Organic food is encouraged, however certification is not required, so check with individual stall holders to ask whether their produce is organically farmed.
The market supports a plastic bag free environment, so please make sure to bring your own recyclable bags.
You can park at the Warburton Recreation Reserve and it is only a 1hr 15 minute drive from Melbourne. So after you finish at the market, why not go and support the other local businesses in the area by staying for dinner or buying dessert in one of the local restaurants?
Better yet, come and stay for the weekend, as there are a number of great hotels and BnB’s located in the beautiful Yarra Valley.
