For those with properties affected by the Bushfire Management Overlay (BMO), the Planning Minister announced significant reforms to the BMO. These reforms, once implemented, should make it easier to develop land within a BMO than the current interpretation of the overlay allows.
Whilst these reforms are not yet introduced into the planning scheme, it is expected they will be formally introduced within a few weeks.
